Step Into My Thimble Blog Archive Vesty

Step Into My Thimble Blog Archive Vesty

Great idea to use left over yarns to knit a vest. I have used extra yarn to create interesting scarfs. I knit them the long way and keep changing yarns.
It might be fun to use the different yarns to create a one of a kind vest.

Crochet Baby Blanket

Crochet Baby Blanket

Wow- a Minnie Mouse pattern! It is almost impossible to find these patterns.
I will probably try to make it for a new baby that is due in June. I have a feeling it will be a complicated pattern, but I will have time to fool around with it.

Mommio Knits!

Mommio Knits!

Great cable pattern! I am impressed with how complicated it appears to be. I don't like knitting from a chart, but sometimes there is no choice.

Crochet Angels

Crochet Angels

The fantasy angels for Barbie look interesting. I think I will bid on it. I need to get away from Christmas stuff- but how can I ignore bargains!!??

Great lloking sweater. I like the red- it is really vibrant. The Rowan yarn is gorgeous!
The pom poms are so, so cute.

I love the Newsboy hat- how cute that is! It is also nice in pink, but somehow I like it better for a boy. Silver grey will probably match my grandson's jacket. How cute he will look!

knitties

The cabbage pattern is the greatest- looks complicated.
I think the pinkathon day, for Valentine's Day is so cool.
The ideas are endless.
I think green for St. Patrick's Day might be fun.

Magic Crochet

The Ducky afghan pattern looks interesting. It should be cute for my grandson. Actually my husband will probably want it as he collects duck stuff.
I can see a 58 year old man fighting with a 9 month old for it- maybe they can share it!

Stitching for Sanity

How can socks scare a real knitter? I am still cautious and too afraid to attempt socks. I have knitted intricate sweaters, scarfs and afghans, but never socks. I think what has me so intimidated is that I have watched a friend, with tiny double pointed needles and fine yarn, knit argyle socks.
I guess I just should try a simple sock pattern, if there is such a thing.

Tunisian Crochet

I will probably look at tunisian crochet hooks. It is different, I think. Actually the baby afghan might be ineresting. Just the ided of a discount intriques me.

Aran

The Debbie Bliss cashmerino is the best yarn. I made a great poncho using it doubled. It has body and if so, so soft.
I like the idea that I can get coupons, on line, from Joann.com.

Of course it just gives me more reasons to buy more yarn!
